Consequences of the Chernobyl explosion could have been largely avoided if the Soviet regime had cared not for "preserving peace" and hence its power, but the fate of people. However, Soviet leaders realized that they could rule over the people only through the total lies. Therefore, after the explosion at the Chernobyl reactor people were driven to the "May Day Celebrations” – under Chernobyl-rays and rain.
